This course enables students to develop the understanding and skills required to effectively support children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). It emphasizes best practices in social skills development, behavioral management, sensory integration therapy and communications systems for assisting children with ASD in inclusive programs. Prerequisite: Enrolled in the EA certificate program OR if you are employed in the early learning child care field a letter from your employer on a company letterhead indicating you work with children ages birth to school age.
